Lemon, Ginger and Honey Infused Hot Water
Life is busy, and it seems to demands more of us when we are not feeling our best! With ‘bugs’ going around and a busy lifestyle, my biggest thing is staying hydrated and boosting my immune system. This simple little recipe certainly does help me cope. Both lemon and ginger are high in nutrients, including a range of essential vitamins that can help support the immune system. With just the addition of hot water and no tea leaves, means you are not consuming a diuretic and therefore allowing your body to stay hydrated. You can adapt how you make it, dependent on the time you have available.
Ingredients
3-4 Thin slices of fresh lemon
3 Thin slices of fresh ginger
1 Generous teaspoon of honey
Directions
If you are pressed for time, in a mug, combine the above ingredients. Fill the mug with boiling water. Let steep for 2-3 minutes – then drink and feel better!
The alternative is to, boil the lemon and ginger gently in a saucepan for 5 -10 minutes, let cool, then add honey before you drink.

Good combination, I’ll try it too
I mostly take only ginger tea when I feel that I caught a cold.
Lemon has great detox properties and drinking daily is beneficial!
